After the release of "Spider-Man 3," Activision is looking for another profitable release with the debut of "Shrek the Third." The video game is comprised of 20 levels involving both characters past and present including Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss-in-Boots, Artie and Sleeping Beauty.
Throughout the game, players try to save Shrek's land of Far Far Away from the evil Prince Charming. Activision officials say in addition to the characters, the game also includes the film's "signature humor" and new storylines not found in the movie.
Developed by 7 Studios, Amaze Entertainment and Vicarious Visions and published by Activision, the game was released on May 14, 2007 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Wii, PC, Nintendo DS, and Game Boy Advance. A PSP version will be released in early June.
